Wire transfer

Wire transfers are fund transfers between banks in different countries and involve different currencies. Most banks will have an account with their correspondent bank in the country for the currency in which the wire transfer is being sent.
The SWIFT code of the bank is required to ensure that funds are properly routed.

A wire transfer can take 3-5 days or even longer if there are a lot of holidays.
